The prayer has been declined on six previous occasions. The petitioner says that the trial has been delayed and the petitioner is in custody for more than 800 days. The last rejection was in September, 2020.

Since almost no criminal trial has been taken up over the last seven or eight months after the outbreak of pandemic, the delay cited by the petitioner is not a valid ground. The present prayer is declined on the same ground as indicated in the previous orders.

It is hoped that the petitioner does not apply for bail at least three months after normal functioning of the court resumes.

CRM 8746 of 2020 is disposed of.
