A show-cause notice dated August 26, 2020 resulting in the order dated September 29, 2020 and a subsequent show-cause notice dated October 13, 2020 are under challenge in the present writ petition. Learned senior advocate for the petitioner on instructions submits that, the petitioner is ready and willing to prefer the statutory appeal. He requests the Court to issue a direction on the Appellate Authority to dispose of the appeal as expeditiously as possible since, the business of the petitioner stands affected by the impugned order. Union of India is represented by the learned Additional Solicitor General.

Since there exists a statutory alternative remedy and since the petitioner seeks to avail of it, it would be

appropriate to permit the petitioner to avail of the same. In the event the petitioner prefers the statutory appeal against the impugned order, the Appellate Authority is requested to dispose of the same as expeditiously as possible. WPA No. 9183 of 2020 is disposed of without any order as to costs.
