The matter is connected to C.R.M.8773 of 2020 which has been allowed earlier today.

According to the petitioners, false charges have been brought against them following the petitioners' assertion that the Upapradhan of the Gram Panchayet at Khanpur village was involved in corrupt practices and the local police officials were aware of the same. The petitioners say that false charges of molestation and like have been brought by the daughter of the concerned Upapradhan.

The State opposes the prayer and says that the unruly conduct of the petitioners should not be condoned. Considering the nature of the charges and the surrounding circumstances, the petitioners are entitled to be enlarged on bail on furnishing security of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten thousand only) each with two sureties of like amount each, one of whom must be local, to the satisfaction of the

appropriate Court in Birbhum. The petitioners must, however, report to the investigating officer as and when called, till the investigation is completed.

CRM 8774 of 2020 is disposed of.
