The petitioner undertakes to affirm and stamp the petition as per the Rules within 48 hours of resumption of normal functioning of the court. The petition is taken up through video conference on the basis of such undertaking.

The petitioner claims that a casual relationship has gone sour and false charges brought against him. The State refers to the statement of the survivor recorded under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. Such statement is not interpreted at this stage. However, such statement does not amount to any serious charge.

Considering the statement of the survivor, the petitioner is entitled to anticipatory bail. In the event of arrest, the petitioner will be enlarged on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand) with two sureties of like amount each, one of whom must be local, to the satisfaction of the arresting officer. The petitioner will also comply with the conditions laid down in Section 438(2) of the Code.

CRM 8788 of 2020 is disposed of.
