Case No. 318 of 2020 dated 06.10.2020 under Sections 323/325/302/506/34 of the Indian Penal Code. And In Re : Md. Ishtiaque Hussain & Anr. petitioners Mr. Satadru Lahiri Mr. Santanu Maji .....for the petitioners. Mr. Saibal Bapuli Mr. Aniket Mitra ....for the State Petitioners undertake to affirm and stamp the petition/application as per Rules within 48 hours of resumption of normal functioning of the court. Subject to such undertaking, the application is taken up for hearing through video conferencing. Petitioners have approached this Court seeking anticipatory bail.

However, considering the post mortem report of the deceased victim as well as the accompaniments, it appears to us that the alleged cause of the death of the victim is strangulation. Considering the materials and the gravity of the offence, we are not inclined to entertain the prayer for anticipatory bail and the same stands rejected.
