The petitioner says that he has been framed and there is no likelihood of the trial being completed in the immediate future. The State says commercial quantity of contraband was recovered from the person of the petitioner. The petitioner seeks to question the veracity of the seizure list and says that there were no independent witnesses.

Considering the fact that the trial has commenced but has been interrupted by the lockdown following the pandemic, the present prayer cannot be acceded to. It is hoped that the trial will resume and the same will be completed within eight months of the resumption of the normal court functioning.

CRM 8809 of 2020 is disposed of.

It will be open to the petitioner to apply to the appropriate authorities for any medical treatment that may be necessary. Upon such request being made, the authorities at the correctional home
