The petitioner claims to have been framed and false charges brought against him.

The State says that the petitioner was involved in kidnapping the survivor, demanding and obtaining ransom and even firearms have been recovered from the petitioner's possession.

The petitioner disputes such position.

The State says that the petitioner has been identified by the survivor and a ransom of Rs.40,000/- had to be paid before the survivor was freed. The charges have been framed. Considering the material against the petitioner and his possible involvement in the commission of the offence, the prayer for bail cannot be acceded to at this stage. CRM 8909 of 2020 is disposed of.
