The petitioners claim not to be involved in the unnatural death of the victim.

The State says that the victim was married for eight months and there are credible statements to the effect that the first petitioner who is the husband and the second petitioner who is the mother-in-law used to coerce the victim to get more dowry from her parents.

It is evident that the death may have been suicidal. In such a scenario the mother-in-law will be entitled to bail, though no latitude can be shown to the husband. The prayer of the first petitioner is rejected. The second petitioner, namely, Prabhabati Roy, will be enlarged on bail upon furnishing security of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten thousand only) with two sureties of like amount each, one of whom must be local, to the satisfaction of the appropriate Court in Paschim Burdwan. The second petitioner

will also attend every date fixed for trial and any unexplained absence will entitle the trial Court to cancel the bail without reference to this Court.

CRM 8927 of 2020 is dismissed.
