Mr.Rana Mukherjee, APP Mrs. Zareen N. Khan Mr. Mirza Firoz Ahmed Begg ... for the State. The advocate-on-record for the petitioners undertakes to affirm and properly stamp the petition as per the rules within fortyeight hours of resumption of normal functioning of the court. The petition is taken up through video-conference on the basis of such undertaking.

The incident is of December 12, 2019. The charge against the accused is that they were parties to the act of causing death of the victim by malnutrition. The petitioners are the mother-in-law and the wives of the brothers-in-law of the victim.

The husband has been granted bail as submitted by Mr. Mukherjee, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the State.

We are of the view that in this case custodial interrogation of the petitioners is not necessary. We allow the said application for

anticipatory bail.

In the event of arrest, the petitioners will be released on bail upon furnishing security of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand only) each together with personal release bond of equivalent value to the satisfaction of the arresting officer.

The petitioners shall also comply with the conditions laid down in section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure. CRM 8987 of 2020 is, thus, disposed of.
