Mr. Dipankar Paramanick ...for the State Learned counsel on behalf of the petitioner submits that the petitioner happens to be the husband of one of the co-accused and is no way connected with the alleged offence. The offence alleged is undoubtedly a heinous crime. Schedule dates of the sessions trial has been fixed on and from 22.12.2020. Learned counsel for the State draws our attention to the statements made by the witnesses and so on the statement recorded under Sections 164 of the Cr.P.C. placed in the Case

Diary. Bearing in mind the seriousness of the offence, the prayer for bail is refused at this stage.

However, we direct the learned trial court to proceed with the sessions trial as expeditiously as possible.
