Ms. Aditi Shankar Chakraborty Mr. Aniruddha Biswas ... for State Extension of the statutory period of detention was allowed by the Trial Court under Section 36A(4) of the NDPS Act. Hence the detention of the petitioner cannot be said to be illegal. There are materials connecting the petitioner with dealing in narcotic substances above commercial quantity. Hence on merits also, we are of the opinion that this is not a fit case to grant bail to the petitioner.

The application for bail is, thus, rejected.
