Having considered the materials on record including the statements of the witnesses who heard the petitioner quarreling with the deceased soon before the incident, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.

The application for bail is, thus, rejected.

However, we direct the trial court to expedite the trial and conclude the same at an early date preferably within a period of one year from the next date fixed before the trial court without granting unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.
