The petitioner started work as a contract labour under the various contractors. He for the first time raised a dispute of wrong recording of his date of birth on 10th September, 2020 which appears from Annexure P-3 of the writ application.

Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that his date of retirement is 30th April, 2021. The petitioner is aware about his date of birth. After 35 years at the fag end of his employment his prayer for correction of date of birth cannot be accepted and such prayer is rejected. However, he submits that there is one error in recording his name. The name of the petitioner in the

Employees Provident Fund Pass Book should be read as Chitta Ranjan Jana instead of Chitta Jana, which is required to be corrected otherwise, he will not get any benefit from the P.F. Authority.

Such correction can be made by the P.F. Authority on production of proper papers by the petitioner to the authority within a period of four weeks from date.

With the above direction, this writ application is disposed of.
