State of West Bengal and others Mr. Prasenjit Mukherjee ...for the petitioner Ms. Juin Dutta Chakraborty ... for the private respondents The petitioner claims that he has purchased half of plot no. 314 in MouzaPalgoira under Shyampur Police Station and has obtained conversion of the same to Bastu land. It is alleged that the local Panchayat has constructed a road on the said plot of land.

The petitioner also submits that the private respondents are causing obstruction and interfering with his peaceful possession of the said land. The petitioner has complained to the Shyampur Police Station and registered FIR on 13.04.2017. The petitioner further submits that the private respondents are continuing to harass him.

In that view of the matter, the Officer-inCharge, Shyampur Police Station shall render all assistance and if necessary, maintain a police picket at the said area at the cost of the petitioner.

Insofar as the construction of a road by the Panchayat on the land which the petitioner claims, the B. D. O., Shyampur Development Block shall look into the representation that can be made by the petitioner and dispose of the same in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible. The B. D. O. shall serve notice on all affected parties including the Panchayat and the private respondents.

With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

All parties are directed to act on a server copy of this order.
