Mr. Joyojit Dutta, ... for the petitioner The grievance of the petitioner in the writ petition is directed against the alleged inaction on the part of the respondent no. 4 being the Revenue Officer, Land and Land Reforms Office, Siliguri Municipal Area, to allow the conversion of the land of the petitioner and correction of the record of rights.

The alleged right of the petitioner is claimed to be founded on the relevant provisions of the West Bengal Land Reforms Act, 1955. Consequently, this Court does not have the jurisdiction to entertain the writ petition. The remedy of the petitioner, if any, is in approaching the concerned Tribunal under the West Bengal Land Reforms and Tenancy Tribunal Act, 1997.

The writ petition being WPA 9610 of 2020 stands dismissed, on the ground of lack of jurisdiction. ( Ashis Kumar Chakraborty, J.)
