It is submitted by the learned advocate for the petitioner that the girl was only 17 years old and the marriage was solemnised between the petitioner and the victim girl is questionable. Therefore, court should allow the bail application.

Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail and produces the case diary. He further draws attention of this court to the suicidal note wherefrom it reveals that due to regular torture she was compelled to commit suicide.

Considering the submissions as advanced by the learned advocates for the parties and after perusing the case diary as well as the suicidal note, in our considered view, the application for bail should not be allowed.

Accordingly, the application for bail is rejected. The application for bail being C.R.M. 9543 of 2020 is disposed of.
