None appears for the 6th respondent despite service. Pursuant to a paper publication made by the Secretary, Zilla Parishad, South 24 Parganas on 9th June, 2019, the petitioners consented to sell out their land at the market rate and submitted an application in this regard before the authority. No communication being made by the authority to the petitioners, the petitioners submitted a further representation before the authority on 3rd Mach, 2020 requesting the authority to communicate the price of the land so that the proposal could be proceeded with. The said representation is yet to be considered. The petitioners pray for a direction upon the concerned authority to consider the representation at the earliest.

It is submitted on behalf of the State respondents that the 6th respondent be directed to consider the representation in accordance with law.

In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of directing the 6th respondent to consider and dispose of the representation submitted by the petitioners dated 3rd

March, 2020 in the light of the notice published in the newspaper on 9th June, 2019 within two months from the date of communication of this order upon affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioners, in accordance with law.

The decision taken by the authority shall be communicated to the petitioners within a week thereof. Since the 6th respondent is not represented, a copy of this order be served upon the 6th respondent by the petitioners at the earliest.

With the above observations and directions, the writ petition being WPA 9681 of 2020 is disposed of. There shall however, be no order as to costs. Since no affidavit in opposition is invited, the allegations contained in the petition are deemed not to be admitted.
