The writ petition was filed with the grievance that the petitioner's complaint regarding alleged atrocities committed by the private respondents against the petitioner's minor daughter were not being appropriately investigated by the respondent-authorities.

However, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits, a first information report was registered on the basis of the complaint and

subsequently the accused persons were granted anticipatory bail.

As such, the writ petition has become infructuous.

W. P. A. 9709 of 2020 is accordingly dismissed as infructuous.

There will be no order as to costs.
