Supplementary affidavit is filed by the petitioner in Court today be kept with the records. Learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is a fifty years of old man and working as a Generator Operator (Group D) on temporary basis at Dr. B. R. Abmedkar College, Nadia. A circular has been issued by Dr. B. R. Abmedkar College that an examination will be taken for the post of Library Peon. The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner prays that though the petitioner is of fifty years of age but as the petitioner is working in that college on temporary basis for last twelve years, a scope should be given to the petitioner to sit for the interview for the post of Library Peon which will be held on 18th December, 2020.
Learned Counsel appearing for the State is present. No one appears for the Dr. B. R. Abmedkar
College.
The Principal/Teacher-in-Charge being the respondent no. 8 is requested to allow the petitioner to participate in the interview to be held on 18th December, 2020 for the post of Library Peon and then pass an order regarding his appointment in accordance with law.
Learned advocate on record of the petitioner is requested to serve a copy of this order to the Principal/Teacher-in-Charge being the respondent no. 8 Dr. B. R. Abmedkar College positively by 17th December, 2020 so that the Principal/Teacher-in-Charge being the respondent no. 8 can take steps in such matter.
With the above direction WPA 9738 of 2020 is disposed of.
Since no affidavits have been invited, the allegations contained in the writ petition are deemed not to have been admitted by the respondents. There will be no order as to costs.
The parties shall act in terms of the copy of the order downloaded from the official website of this Court.
