Petitioner renews his prayer for bail. He is in custody for 87 days.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State opposes the prayer for bail.

We have considered the materials on record and bearing in mind the prima facie role of the petitioner in the alleged gang rape and in view of the statement of the victim including the T.I. Parade report. Under such circumstances and as delay in the matter is attributable to prevailing pandemic condition, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. The application for bail is, thus, rejected.

Trial court is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same at an early date without granting unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.
