On the basis of the application of the petitioner filed before the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Alipore, under Section 156(3) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, Basanti Police Station Case No. 228 of 2019 dated April 6, 2019 under Sections 447/341/379/506(2)/323/34 of the Indian Penal Code was started against Anadi Safui & Others over the incident which occurred on February 21, 2019 at 8-30 hours. Upon completion of the investigation, a charge sheet has been filed vide Basanti Police Station Charge Sheet no. 243 of 2019 dated April 21, 2019 With regard to the further complaints, a prosecution under Section 107/116( c) of the Code of Criminal Procedure was also submitted against the petitioner as also some of the respondents.

Under such circumstances, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction upon the police authorities to maintain strict vigil in order to ensure that no further untoward incident takes place in future.

The writ petition is, thus, disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

All parties are to act on the basis of the server copy of this order.
