17.12.2020 ss Rejected C.R.M. 9714 of 2020 In the matter of : An application for bail under section 439 of the Code of Criminal Procedure in connection with Nakashipara P.S. Case No. 161 of 2020 dated 25.03.2020 under sections 341/363/376/379/411/506 of the Indian Penal Code.

And In the matter of : Unus Mallick Mr. Sayan Mukherjee ... ... for the petitioner Mr. Rana Mukherjee, APP Ms. Sujata Das ... ... for the State Statement of the victim girl shows that she was blackmailed by using obscene pictures which were surreptitiously prepared by the petitioner and was raped repeatedly. Prayer for bail of the petitioner has been rejected in August, 2020. There is hardly development in the matter since then.

In view of the aforesaid fact and the gravity of the offence, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. The application for bail is, thus, rejected.
