In the matter of :- Anusri Dhok Ms. Pampa Dey (Dhabal) .....for the petitioner This is an application praying for an expeditious disposal of a proceeding under Section 125 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

Supplementary affidavit filed on behalf of the petitioner incorporating a certified copy of the order-sheet is taken on record.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits as follows. The petitioner/wife had filed an application under Section 125 of the Code claiming maintenance allowance from her husband/opposite party no.2 on 27.01.2019. Yet, even the petitioner's application for interim maintenance could not be disposed of. The matter was adjourned on several dates. The case was referred to arbitration, which eventually failed. The petitioner is spending her days in penury.

I have heard the submissions of the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and have perused

the revision petition and the supplementary affidavit. No prejudice will be caused to anyone if an order is passed to expedite the impugned proceeding.

It appears that there has been a delay at least in disposing the application for interim maintenance. In view of the above and in the interest of justice, I request the learned trial Court to conclude the proceeding under Section 125 of the Code as expeditiously as possible, without granting any unnecessary adjournment to any of the parties and more particularly, to dispose of the application for interim maintenance at the earliest, preferably within three months from the date of the communication of this order.

With these observations, the revisional application is disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order may be delivered to the learned Advocates for the parties, if applied for, upon compliance of all formalities. (Jay Sengupta, J.)
