Heard the learned Counsels appearing on behalf of the parties.

It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that he is a septuagenarian.

Learned Advocate appearing for the State opposes the prayer for bail.

Statements of the victim, a 13 year old girl implicates the petitioner in the alleged act of penetrative sexual assault. In view of the aforesaid facts and the gravity of the offence, we are of the opinion that this is not a fit case to grant bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.
