The order impugned has directed the matter to appear on December 7, 2020, though the subject matter of dispute is the selection of office-bearers in the Bengal Olympic Association, the first respondent herein.

Advocates will immediately communicate this direction to the Chief Judge, City Civil Court for the 4th Bench to take up the injunction petition on December 5, 2020. If the relevant Bench is not available, the Chief Judge, City Civil Court will assign the matter to any other available Bench so that effective hearing can take place on Saturday morning.

No observation is made as to the merits of the matter so as not to prejudice either side.

Since the purport of the order impugned is limited, nothing survives of this appeal and it will be open to the parties to take appropriate measures upon an order being passed after the hearing on December 5, 2020.

FMAT 526 of 2020 and CAN 1 of 2020 stand disposed of at the admission stage.

There will be no order as to costs.
