Having considered the materials on record and bearing in mind the prima facie involvement of the petitioner in subjecting the minor to penetrative sexual assault and in view of the gravity of the offence and as trial is at its fag end, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.

The application for bail is, thus, rejected.

Trial court is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same at an early date without granting unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.
