Case No.421/2020 dated 29.10.2020 under Sections 341/326/307 of the Indian Penal Code with Sections 25/27 of the Arms Act with Sections 4/5 of Explosive Act with adding Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code.
And In Re: Jharu Mondal & Ors.
... ... Petitioners.
Mr. Indrajit Chatterjee ... for the Petitioners.
Mr. Swapan Banerjee, Ms. Purnima Ghosh ... ... for the State.
Statements of witnesses show that the petitioners and other co-accused persons fired and threw bombs at the victim. The victim died due to bombing. In view of the gravity of the offence, we are not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners. The application for anticipatory bail is, thus, rejected. (Suvra Ghosh, J.)
