For the State Pursuant to an earlier direction dated 14th January, 2021, the State was directed to look into the matter as to whether it was practicable to hold elections of the concerned co-operative societies.

The State is represented ad relies on a communication dated 12th February, 2021 issued by the Assistant Registrar of Co-operative Societies. It appears from the said communication that the representatives of the petitioner are holding all relevant papers pertaining to holding of the elections of the concerned Co-operative Society.

In view of such fact, the State and the Election Commission are directed to conduct the election of the concerned co-operative society within a period of two months from date. The petitioner is directed to supply all the necessary documents pertaining to conducting of such elections to the nominated board of the said society within a period of two weeks from date. With the aforesaid directions, W.P.A. 10122 of 2020 is disposed of.

The communication relied on by the State respondent be kept with the records.

There shall be no order as to costs.

Photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties on compliance of requisite formalities.
