Heard the learned Advocates appearing for the parties. It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that the victim (a married man) had eloped with his daughter. Learned Advocate appearing for the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail and submits that the victim is yet to be recovered.

We have considered the statements of the witnesses recorded during investigation. They disclose that there was an altercation between the petitioner and the victim prior to his disappearance. Custodial interrogation of the petitioner is necessary for recovery of the victim.

In view of the aforesaid facts, we are not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected.
