This is an application praying for expeditious disposal of an application for grant of visitation right to the petitioner, who is the father of minor son, Saunak Chakraborty, born out of a marriage between the petitioner and the opposite party. The Matrimonial Suit No.442 of 2018 is pending before the learned Additional District and Sessions Judge, Fast Track IIIrd Court at Howrah.

It is the contention of the petitioner that the said application was filed on July 11, 2019. The written objection to the said application was filed on September 2, 2019. Thereafter, some dates had been fixed by the learned Court below for hearing of the application for visitation but the same has not yet been disposed of.

I do find from the records that the application has been pending for sometime. As the Court has resumed its normal functioning finally after the pandemic situation, the said application deserves expeditious disposal.

Under such circumstances, justice would be sub-served if the learned Court below is directed to dispose of the application for grant of visitation preferably on the next date fixed or soon thereafter as the business of the Court permits but not later than 2 months from the date of communication of this order. This court has not gone into the merits of the claim of the petitioner.

The time limit is peremptory in nature. The learned Court below is further directed not to give the unnecessary adjournments to either of the parties.

This revisional application is, thus, disposed of. There will be, however, no order as to costs. The learned Advocate-on-record for the petitioner is directed to serve a copy of this revisional application along with a server copy of this order upon the opposite party within this week.
