For the Respondents No. 1 to 5 The writ petition has been filed with the grievance that, despite the unnatural death of the petitioner's son, the police is sitting tight over the matter of investigation of such death as well as desisting from granting appropriate protection to the petitioner, despite threats being allegedly issued by miscreants to the petitioner. Learned counsel appearing for the State respondents files a report in the form of an instruction, which indicates that the initial forensic report indicates that the death was suicidal in nature. However, it is submitted that further investigation is going on in the matter.

Since it is premature at this stage to formulate an opinion as to the nature of the death, W.P.A. 10175 of 2020 is disposed of by directing respondent no. 5 to

expedite the investigation into the death of the petitioner's son. In the event the petitioner approaches respondent no. 4 with a complaint as regards threats being issued to the petitioner by miscreants, respondent no. 4 shall take immediate steps to look into the matter and take appropriate action.

There will be no order as to costs.

The parties are directed to act on the server copies of this order as and when uploaded in the official website of the Court. In any event, the petitioner is granted liberty to communicate the gist of this order to the respondents even without waiting for such server copy to be uploaded and the respondents are directed to act upon such communication.
