Advocate ... ... for the State It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that he is in custody for about 995 days. It is further submitted that there is little progress in the matter since the last rejection of bail by this court. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor opposes the prayer for bail and submits that the petitioner was seen at the place of occurrence where the victim was murdered. He further submits that weapon of offence has also been seized.

We have considered the materials on record. There are prima facie materials connecting the petitioner with the alleged crime. In view of the gravity of the offence and prima facie involvement of the petitioner herein, we are not inclined in granting bail to the petitioner at this stage.

The application for bail is thus rejected.

Trial court is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same at an early date.
