Advocate ... ... for the State It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that she is the auntin-law of the victim-housewife. It is further submitted that she has been falsely implicated in the instant case.

Learned advocate appearing for the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail and submits that the victim-housewife was assaulted and driven out of her matrimonial home by the petitioner and co-accused persons. She took refuge at her parental home and committed suicide on that day.

Statements of witnesses prima facie disclose involvement of the petitioner in torturing the victim-housewife who was driven out of the matrimonial home. She committed suicide immediately thereafter. In view of the gravity of the offence, we are not inclined in granting anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner stands rejected.
