Soumya Sahu v. State Of West Bengal And ORS.
06.07.2022 d.p.
In The High Court At Calcutta Constitutional Writ Jurisdiction Appellate Side W.P.A 10332 of 2020 Soumya Sahu -versus The State of West Bengal & Ors.
Mr. Subhomoy Patra.
...For the Petitioner.
The petitioner alleges violation of the direction passed by this Court on 5th February, 2021.
The petitioner has filed an application for contempt being CPAN 857 of 2021.
It has been submitted that the contempt application cannot be listed in view of non-availability of the writ file.
A report of the Assistant Registrar-VIII/A.R. Mandamus-II dated 4th July, 2022 has been placed before this Court. It appears therefrom that despite searches the said writ file is not readily traceable. The petitioner presses for hearing of the contempt application.
Accordingly, for the time being, let the writ file be reconstructed by collecting the documents which are
available with the petitioner. The reconstruction shall be completed by a fortnight.
Let the matter appear in the list on 21st July, 2022 under the heading "Application".
The Learned Registrar Administration (L&OM) is directed to take necessary steps for reconstruction of the writ file.
