Mr. Ranabir Roy Chowdhury, Mr. Sandip Chakraborty ...for the State It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that he is in custody for about 52 days and has been falsely implicated in the instant case. Learned lawyer for the State opposes the prayer for bail. We have considered the statement of the victim recorded under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. She speaks of forcible abduction and rape. She had been confined at Delhi. In view of the incriminating circumstances and gravity of the offence, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage. The application for bail is, thus, rejected.
