Learned lawyer for the State opposes the prayer for bail. We have considered the materials on record. Statement of witnesses implicate the petitioners in the assault of the deceased. Their payer for bail was rejected in September, 2020. Allegation of delay in trial is due to prevailing pandemic conditions. Accordingly, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioners at this stage. The application for bail is, thus, rejected.

Trail court is requested to take prompt steps for commitment of the case at the earliest.
