Ms. Sukanya Bhattacharya, Mr. Md. Kutubuddin ...for the State It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that he is in custody for about 178 days and he has been falsely implicated in the instant case.

Learned lawyer for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that the petitioner and co-accused persons had abducted the girl for trafficking.

We have considered the materials on record. Statement of the victim girl and other incriminating materials disclose involvement of the petitioner in abducting the victim girl who was kept confined for the purpose of trafficking. In view of the gravity of the offence and prima facie involvement of the petitioner therein, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.

The application for bail is, thus, rejected.
