Affidavit of service filed in Court today is taken on record.

On the application made by the petitioner for grant of water connection, the Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation allowed the prayer of the petitioner and directed for payment of necessary charges. The petitioner on 27th April, 2016 paid the charges required for obtaining the said water connection. The grievance of the petitioner is that water connection has not yet been effected in his premises till date.

The learned advocate appearing on behalf of the Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation fairly submits that time may be granted for effecting water connection.

As it appears that the petitioner has already paid the necessary charges pursuant to the direction passed by the Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation for effecting water connection in the premises,

accordingly, the Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation is bound to effect water connection to the said premises immediately.

The instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondent No. 4, being the Officer-inCharge of Water Department to take immediate steps for effecting water connection in the premises of the petitioner, at the earliest, but positively within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of a copy of this order.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon completion of usual legal formalities.
