Upon perusal of the police report, it appears that an enquiry was made by the police authorities with regard to the allegation of the petitioner. The Inspector-in-Charge, Dasnagar Police Station has stated that pursuant to the complaint lodged by the petitioner, Dasnagar P.S. Case No.136 of 2019 dated August 24, 2019 was registered under Sections 417/419/420 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 10 of the West Bengal Trees (Protection and Conservation in Non-Forest Areas) Act, 2006. Investigation is going on. The respondent nos.7 to 9 also surrendered before the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Howrah and they were released on bail.

Under such circumstances, nothing further remains to be decided in the writ petition as the police authorities have acted in accordance with law.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. However, there will be no order as to costs.

All the parties are directed to act on the basis of the server copy of this order.
