Mr. Rabiul Islam, Ms. Pramita Banerjee ....for the petitioner Mr. Biswabrata Basu Mallick, Mr. Sanjib Das ...for the State The petitioner's application for employment on compassionate grounds was returned by the School Service Commission to the District Inspector of Schools (SE), Dakshin Dinajpur, vide communication dated September 2, 2015.

The District Inspector of Schools (SE), Dakshin Dinajpur, after a fresh consideration of the petitioner's claim for compassionate employment recommended the same once again by communication dated January 17, 2017.

The writ petition was filed after a delay of three years. The writ petition could not be taken up earlier for the intervening COVID-19 period. In those circumstances, this Court directs the Assistant Secretary, West Bengal School Service Commission, Northern Region, Malda, to

respond and take a decision on the reference made by the District Inspector of Schools (SE), Dakshin Dinajpur, dated January 17, 2017, mandatorily and positively within a period of three months from the date of communication of a copy of this order.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
