It is submitted by the Counsel for the Bank and confirmed by the Counsel for the petitioner that his pension account has since been regularized and he is operating the same.

The petitioner shall be paid any applicable interest in terms of the Rules of the Bank on the sum that had accumulated with the Bank, on account of the Bank having prevented the petitioner from operating the account. The Bank shall bear in mind that the petitioner is a senior citizen.

In view of the above, the writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.
