One Suchitra Datta was the original lessee of Plot No.
at Block-EC, Sector-I, Salt Lake City (Bidhannagar).
The petitioner is claiming that by a Deed of Assignment dated May 20, 2016 said Suchitra Datta assigned the said plot in his favour.
The grievance of the petitioner is that on May 31, 2016 on the basis of the said Deed of Assignment he applied for mutation of his name in respect of the said plot to the Land Manager, Bidhannagar, Department of Urban Development and Municipal Affairs, Government of West Bengal, the respondent no. 3 herein, but the said respondent has not yet disposed of the said application although all formalities have been complied with.
Ms. Amrita Panja Moulick, learned counsel, appears on behalf of the State respondents and submits that the petitioner has not submitted all the required documents asked for, as a result the said application could not be disposed of.
Be that as it may, the respondent no. 3 is directed to consider and dispose of the said application within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of this order after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner subject to compliance of all the required formalities.
WPA 10762 of 2020 is thus disposed of. No order as to costs.
Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties subject to compliance of all requisite formalities.
