For the State Mr. Debasis Sur Mr. Mrinmoy Chatterjee ... for the respondent no.6 ,, This is an application under Article 226 of the Constitution of India wherein the writ petitioner is aggrieved by the inaction on the part of the respondent authorities in considering her application for compassionate appointment. It is to be noted that the petitioner has prayed for compassionate appointment jointly with her brother being respondent no.6 herein. Counsel on behalf of the respondent no.6 also supports the above submission.

In light of the same, the authorities concerned are directed to consider the joint application of the petitioner and the respondent no.6 in accordance with law and to pass a reasoned order after granting an opportunity of hearing to them within a period of six weeks from date.

The reasoned order is to be communicated to the petitioner as well as to the respondent no.6 within two weeks from the date of passing of such reasoned order. I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of this case.

With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of.

Since no affidavit-in-opposition is called for, allegations made in the writ petition are deemed not to have been admitted.
