And In Re : Haiul Sk. @ Md. Hauiul Sk. ..... petitioner Mr. Arup Kumar Bhowmick ... for the petitioner Ms. Sukanya Bhattacharya Md. Kutubuddin ... for the State Learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the incident occurred 10 years after marriage. Petitioner is the brother-in-law of the victim housewife. He is in custody for one year.

Learned Counsel appearing for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that the victim was subjected to torture and was set on fire.

We have considered the materials on record including F.I.R. lodged by the victim herself. Petitioner is implicated in the said document.

In view of gravity of the offence and prima facie involvement of the petitioner in the alleged crime, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

The application for bail is, thus, rejected.
