Pursuant to an earlier direction of this Court the State has filed a report dated January 06, 2021, inter alia, highlighting that there has been some illegal encroachment on public land but the State requires some time to demarcate the said land. Let such report be kept with the record. A copy of the Report is handed over to the counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner in court today. In view of the report filed by the State, the State is granted four weeks time to demolish the illegal/unauthorised encroachment from the public land.

In view of the above, nothing survives in this writ petition and this writ petition being WPA No. 10852 of 2020 is disposed of without any order as to costs.

The petitioner is granted liberty to file an appropriate application if there is any default on the part of the Executive Engineer, PWD, Tamluk Division in carrying out the aforesaid order.
