Apprehending arrest in connection with Jagacha Police Station Case No.162 of 2020 under Section 406 of the Indian Penal Code the present application has been preferred.

The learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that he has been falsely implicated in the criminal proceeding. Mr. Bapuli, learned advocate appearing for the State respondents denies and disputes the contention of the petitioner. Upon considering the materials on record, the nature of offence and the extent of complicity of the petitioner in the alleged offence, we are of the opinion that custodial interrogation of the petitioner is not necessary.

Accordingly, we direct that in the event of arrest the petitioner, namely, Pradip Bajaj, shall be released on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs.10,000/- with two sureties of like amount, one of whom must be local, to the satisfaction of the arresting officer and also subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 and on further condition that the petitioner shall meet the investigating officer once in a week until further orders on and from 15th January, 2021. The application for anticipatory bail being CRM No.10695 of 2020 is, thus, allowed.
