The prayers of the petitioner are misconceived. The petitioner has prayed for renewal of his gun license. Such prayer was kept on hold by the renewing authority, in view of the pendency of Jagacha PS Case No.15 of 2019, dated February 3, 2019. The proceedings are pending before the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate at Howrah. Charge-sheet has been filed against the petitioner. Trial has commenced. Under such circumstances, the prayer of the petitioner for grant of renewal of the gun license cannot be allowed by this Court. The other prayer of the petitioner for a direction upon the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate for expeditious disposal of the trial, is also not available before this Court.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. However, there will be no order as to costs.

All the parties are directed to act on the basis of the server copy of this order.
