The writ petitioner is aggrieved by the alleged inaction on the part of Mandarmoni Coastal Police Station.

The writ petitioner complains that the private respondents have threatened the petitioner with dire consequences and the parties came to blows.

It is submitted that the private respondents are interfering with the use of his land.

Counsel for the State, Mr. Anirban Ray, learned Government Pleader, submits that in respect of the petitioner's original complaint, charge-sheet has been filed on 31st March, 2020. He further submits that in respect of the charge-sheet, proceedings under Section 107 of the Code of Criminal Procedure have been initiated.

This Court finds that the disputes between the parties are primarily civil in nature and that such

alternative civil remedies may be availed by the parties in that regard.

However, Officer-in-charge, Mandarmoni Coastal Police Station shall ensure that there is no breach of peace in the locale and shall maintain a strict vigil thereat.

Instructions of the Officer-in-charge, Mandarmoni Coastal Police Station in the form of report addressed to the learned Government Pleader, High Court, Calcutta dated 4th January, 2021 may be kept with the record.

With the aforesaid observations, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.
