Learned advocate for the petitioner prays for bail proposing long detention of the accused-husband. The victim suffered death receiving torture, cruelty and ultimately by hanging.

Learned Public Prosecutor raises objections against the prayer for bail capitalising the statement of the daughter of the accused petitioner recorded under Section 164 Cr.P.C. with the Post Mortem report. The chargesheet in the meantime has since been submitted. The accused is in custody for the last 64 days.

Having considered the materials already collected in the Case Diary and bearing in mind the extent of allegations in context with the materials collected in the Case Diary and severity of the allegations revealed during the course of investigation, we are not inclined to grant bail to the accused-petitioner/husband.

The prayer for bail thus stands rejected.
