Mr. Purakayastha, learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is a constable attached to Platoon no.03 Ad-Hoc company (SAP-967) 7th APBN. The authorities always used to refuse him leave, as prayed for on health ground. He was also not granted leave to attend his marriage reception. He is suffering from various ailments and since upon completion of investigation charge sheet has already been filed, further detention of the petitioner, who is in custody for 628 days, is not necessary. The learned advocate appearing for the State opposes the petitioner's prayer and draws our attention to the several documents in the case diary.

Having heard the learned advocates and considering the materials in the case diary, the gravity of the offence and the extent of complicity of the petitioner in the alleged offence, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage. Accordingly, the application for bail being CRM No.10747 of 2020, is dismissed.
